The Women & Children's ward of the Govt. Hospital, Mattancherry was in a pathetic state of affairs till the Rotary Club of Cochin Harbour undertook its renovation. The Club has spent out of its own resources Rs.3.45 Lakhs (US $ 7738) to renovate the Post Partum ward at the above hospital and is engaged in the upkeep of the same as a continuing project.
Awn incinerator valued at Rs. 4.50 Lakhs (US $10,714) was also erected at the same hospital, whose expense was borne internally. |
